Automatically Create New User

I would like my users to be able to submit a web form and automatically have an account created for them. (Just like I became a user of this form!) I don't want to have to manually create each new user anymore, it is getting boring, there must be a way to do this!

Please point me in the right direction.

Currently there is no way to do this - unless it is something you want to script yourself. Given one of the requirements of project management is to make sure that users get the permissions and access to the information that they require - and are not allowed to access the things that are not related to their requirements, then I'd be sceptical that this would ever be a mainstream requirement. And yes - I know the current permissions system is less than optimal but a permissions set up is still required.
