translation problem!

i am trying to translate dotproject to persian
when i taranslate a module the results do not appear in those modules!
what should i do?

Have you changed your locale to the new / translated one?

if you mean it in translation page yes i have changed it to "farsi"
and in the system config too!

What's the locale set in your own preferences my info > edit preferences

I couldn't find any locale except some types of english!

for this translation I've done everything that was mentioned in the wiki
about the translation suchas:
making new dir in locales folder and copying some files in it and selecting
locale from dropdown menu while trnslating phrases!

but as i told past i can't find any locale except some types of english in my configuration page!
any body help?:D

Hi folks

After going round in circles thinking I'd never get it to work I think I may have found the solution - wrong/missing info in the wiki, specifically step 4.2.

To get my changes to be recognised and for them to appear in the dropdown I added the relevant code in a lang.ph file NOT the locales.php file referenced in the wiki.

As I have no idea what I'm doing, could someone in the know please confirm or otherwise and if confirmed udate the wiki.
