I hope to use the ticket component of dotproject. I work for an IS group which supports non-profit groups and we need a trouble ticket system for all of them. I would like to keep the identities of each group private. I have created 3 users, tom, dick and harry. Tickets created by tom are seen by harry and so on. I have tried to deny view rights but this does not seem to work. Why would one user be able see and edit another users tickets. When tom creates a ticket and then views that ticket he my assign an owner. The assignment list contains the names of all users. I don't really want tom to be able to see other users names. Is there a way of having the owner set to the name of creating user?
I have the feeling I am overlooking the obvious.
Is there an FAQ or doc which covers configuring rights management for dotproject? Would there be better solution then dotproject?
