New object in dotproject

Hi

I just want to know if is it easy to add a new object ( new table ) to dotproject with link to existing tables .
I want to add a new object linked with project like task . I know that everything is feasible but Maybe that it is very hard and can break-in the logic of the system.
In other hand , I can't register in documentation site ( wrong code registration) i don't know why . because I want to download the add on module "inventory" , can someone help me to get this module .

There's already an inventory module.. It works with 1.0.2, but I'm not sure of its status relative to the v2.0 architecture.

I'd suggest that you play with it before you develop your own... it might be exactly what you're looking forl

The CVS of inventory module works on dP 2, so I guess it no longer works with 1.0.2.

I have the 2.0.1 version , I instaling inventory mentioned by caseydk ( thanks caseydk !!) but for the moment I have a lot of errors and I debug one by one :

first problem with root_dir that I replace with $dPconfig['root_dir'] and
sencond problem with array_csort function that was already declared .
And Now I have this message :

ERROR: e:\program files\easyphp1-7\www\dotproject\includes\db_adodb.php(61): Error executing
I continue , I hope that will works after .

It seem be a big problem with this ad module because programs refere to to the field user_first_name in users table but There is no field like that in table . Perhaps this module doesn't work with V2.0.1 .

Any idea ? or I continue to modify the module for the 2.0.1

Hi fixfrance,

The version you seem to be trying is the Version 2 Alpha (221203) 22/12/2003, and that's very old.
Do check the CVS.

Hi,

caseydk gave you the link for dP 1.0.2 (that's the forum you posted), but since you are using ver 2.0.1 that version of inventory will not work.

For you to download the CVS version of inventory (which works with dP 2.0.1) you should search these forums for 'TortoiseCVS' and you will find tutorials for that.

By the way if you noticed there is a link in http://sourceforge.net/projects/dotmods/ for the CVS, where you can see instructions for CVS access. If you get frustrated with Tortoise, you can allways follow the 'View CVS...' there, create a inventory folder under modules and download it file by file (there are not many files).
If in last case you feel you can not do it, then give an e-mail and I send it to you.
