another helpdesk thing

I having a quirky thing happen with helpdesk module. I'm using 1.0.2-1, mysql 4.0.20, php 4.3.6 and apache 1.3.31. And I had loaded the cvs version of helpdesk and have since overwrote the files with the 20040507 tar file.

I've noticed that when I go into a helpdesk item and I click on the new log tab I cannot enter a date with the calendar button. I click but there's no response and I get error on page at the bottom of the IE page. If I put my mouse over the calendar button, the link shows up as http://myserver/dotproject/index.php?m=helpdesk&a=view&item_id=1#

shouldn't the &a=view actually be addedit? and if so, what file do I change? These modules are a bit tricky for me... still having trouble following the filenames.

I'm confused. Is there a process for moving to a previous version of a module? I just overwrote the files and that seemed to work except for a quirky issue with a calendar popup. I've compared to a test machine that is windows based and that one is working fine. I've also compared the files in the helpdesk directory with the ones from the windows machine using the diff command and there is many differences. I'm thinking that I may have missed a step in moving backwards with these files.
