View Full Version : True Group Calendar?
Does Dotproject have a true group Calendar?
I need to be able to see what my employees are doing by selecting and employee.
I.e. Jane, John, Tom all have events planned for October.
I would like to select each of their names and see the events they have for that month.
I.e.
October Jane John Tom
1 Project X
2 Project Y
3
4 Task 4
Is this possible?
This is the only thing keeping me from fully using Dotproject. We need to be able to see what everyone's schdule is like.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
The upcoming release has a facility for an administrator to select a user and view their Today page or their todo list.
Thanks Karen,
I decided to start using Dotproject anyways. The layout and tabbed design is much easier for my coworkers to use and so far any bugs I have found, I have been able to find the solution here.
I look forward to helping out in the community,
If you guys need any postnuke help let me know, I have been working with it for 3+ years now.
I think we can make this site a lot easier to navigate and use. I got a few suggestions if you want them.

Let's change the color/style of the documentation site link and include a message like:
"HEY READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST QUESTIONS!"
Anyone else interested in that one?
caseydk:
First, That site is incredibly busy, and very difficult to navigate. I think there is almost too much information on the front page making it overwhelming for any first time visitor. So posting a link to that site does nothing but confuse anyone who doesn't want to spend hours navigating it. As a matter of fact I had already spent a considerablt amount of time looking for the answer to the quesiton on there but was unable to find it that is why I posted here.
Second (Dotproject team) you could remove:
WHY A WIKI?
WHAT IS A WIKI?
WHY TIKIWIKI?
Those don't have anything to do with Dotproject or the software itself. It confuses the reader, is the documentaion about Wiki or Dotproject?
Third and big Third Consolidate!
Create a Dynamic Nav and put all those top categories on it and the subcategories clickable under the top.
If you need help doing this let me know, I can make suggestions and back them up with actions.
It would take me only a hour or so to implement this so let me know if you want help with that.
So Caseydk, that is why posting a ""HEY READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST QUESTIONS!" would be fairly useless as the information on there is very difficult to find. Might as well tell someone to do a google search for the answer.

Actually, you'd be amazed how many of the questions are answered in the "Programmer Docs" header... which is:
" Basics for Contributing
dotProject Framework
Writing a Module
Creating a Translation
Accessing CVS
Database Schema
Common JavaScript
Coding Standard
New to PHP
Installing Patches
Dynamically Linking Tabs
Coding for Performance
Permissions Coding"
