Hi,

I wonder whether it can be confirmed by other users of dotProject.

<< an administrator with FULL rights in DP rights can not change tasks of other users >>

Is that correct?

dotProject V2.0.1.

Appreciate any comments.

Cheers
Fred

Hi Pedro,

You might want to verify it.

As SystemAdmin, not assigned to a particular task, I can not change the task even if I have the permission All-Modules = Access, Add, Edit, View, Delete = Allowed.

Either it's a specific setup that would allow me to change a task (and I don't have set it,) or we have a mis-communication here.

dotProject v 2.0.1.

Looking forward to hear from you again.

TIA

Cheers
Fred

BTW. When I access a task as SysAdmin (edit task), I noticed that the task is not in 'tab' ed form. All sub-areas of the task (details, dates, dependencies and HR) are listed consecutiv, one after the other.

BTW2: This happened only in Firefox 1.5.01 (WIN-XP)

Pedro,

What would be the explanation that you as as SysAdmin can change tasks owned by others and I am not able to do that?

Is that a matter of a setup?

Fred

Hi Pedroa,

do you know any solution for this problem?

I believe it is a problem of your setup as I can't replicate it.
And I have tryed it in winxp with firefox 1.5 aswell.
So you should consider waiting for dP202 and see if that is enough for you.

Hi Pedroa,

thanks for replying.

If its rather a setup problem, do you expect it will be fixed with version 2.0.2 ?

Cheers

I don't even remember it being an issue on dP201, so I can't be sure if this was fixed or never was an issue, so I guess you'll have to wait and see or update your setup to CVS stable_2 branch if you know how to.

Hi Pedroa,

Thanks for your posting.

But please do me a favor and do not reply to any of my posting in the future, because I get more and more the impression that your postings are useless for me and do not containing any factual details they would help to solve my problems with dotproject.

If you want to see how excellent issues are handled in a free software, you should take a look at the mailing list of Eventum from mySQL.\

Not more features are better, a stable application should be the goal.

Thanks for reading.
