I started to use dotProject last week, and today I've tried to translate some words, and I always got this error message : "Could not open locales file to save". How can I solve this problem ?

I've watched some topics about this kind of problem on this forum, but nobody mentionned the actual error message I get.

Can you verify you have the needed translation file? (/locales folder)
Also check the file permissions for the directory/files.

Sorry have never worked with translation but these two things come to mind.

Thanks, but I just solved my problem 2 minutes ago. I found the answer on another topic here - I'm really sorry for posting before noticing this topic.

So, I duplicated a version of my locales folder (fr), and then changed the permissions on all the files in the copied folder, to allow writing. Hehe, that was so simple.

The problem's gone. Fortunately it wasn't anything complicated - I know absolutely nothing yet about PHP and SQL.

Thanks anyway. Now I'll begin to get even more from this great utility.
