dotProject used in E-Rate project for metropolitan school district.


	May 11, 2008 - 10:48 PM :: Karen :: 16321 Reads Our project team includes four separate vendors and the client, a large metropolitan school district. The project includes design and installation of new network cabling, active equipment (switches, routers, etc.), wireless LAN, IP telephony, and WAN access in more than 60 schools in the district. The project is expected to last approximately two years and will cost several million dollars. Most of the funding comes from the E-Rate program so we are operating in a heavily regulated environment where everything will be subject to future audit and review for compliance. The site is still not quite finished, but it's got a lot of useful content on it already and a link to the old site if you hit one of the areas that we're still working on. New Security/Bugfix release of dotProject 2.0.4

Important Information

A new release of dotProject has been released today. Version 2.0.4 fixes a XSS (Cross Site Scripting) vulnerability in the handling of the login parameter, which may allow an attacker using a carefully constructed URL to gain information, such as cookie details, from a user's session.

This release also fixes a problem with upgrading from versions prior to 2.0.1. More information can be found in the ChangeLog on the dotProject download page.

All sites are urged to upgrade ASAP

New Theme / New Modules

Apologies but this means that language packs and other elements won't be available for until Tuesday Australian time whilst we catch up with the finishing touches. In the meantime, some of the menu items have been moved to the top right hand side of the screen. ----- Update as of 20th June - All available language packs have now been uploaded. If you can't find a language pack for your own locale - why not consider producing one and sharing it with the community - the instructions on how to are in the Language Pack area. (To get to language packs use the link on the top right hand side of the site).
